Our Program
Our Program
We offer a mixed-age preschool classroom.
The class focus for the younger child is to help them work through separation issues; become comfortable in the preschool environment; play cooperatively with other children; and gain self-confidence necessary to make independent choices.
The class focus for the older child is to encourage self-expression; develop strong language skills, become confident in making decisions and finding solutions; learn to exercise self-regulation; understand and accept boundaries; learn self-help skills; learn to be sensitive to the needs of others; and thereby preparing them for kindergarten and beyond.
We seek to have each child in the program, regardless of age, learn from the other children, value their gifts, and develop a positive attitude towards friends, school and life long learning.
Our Facility
The preschool building contains three (3) indoor classrooms. We also have a large outdoor area for bike and scooter riding, as well as a sand area with a large play structure and playhouse.
These areas are filled daily with developmentally appropriate activities for exploration through:
Art, music, math and science
Blocks and manipulatives
Books and puzzles
Imaginative and active play
Sand and water play
Hours
Our classroom hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon with an option for lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m.
